WBHN Remains The Mountains Home For Tar Heel Sports

Five Forty Broadcasting Company owner Roy Burnette announced on Friday that Tarheels Sports broadcast provider Learfield  IMG and WBHN have reached an agreement to broadcast Tarheels football and basketball games for the 2019 and 2020 season. The contract also allows for the broadcast of any football bowl games and the basketball ACC  and the NCAA Tournaments. This will be the second season for the WBHN and Learfield IMG affiliation. Burnette said, “We received some incredible response last year, there is an abundance of Tarheels fans here in the mountains. “The Network modified their prior policy to allow radio stations who stream their signals to include the Tarheels games. This is important to us since WBHN recently added their own free app for ones iPhone, Android  and similar devices. Over half the American population now has smart speakers in their home so this will give people who might not be able to receive a strong signal the opportunity to follow the Tarheels,” Burnette added. The Network provides for local businesses to sponsor the games with prime time advertising opportunities in game broadcasts. The WBHN Sales Department can assist local businesses with advertising placement.  The games will be heard on 1590 AM, 94.1 FM and available to download at 941classiccountry.com.
