An investigation has been initiated into an alleged child abuse incident involving a Macon County school employee last year. Macon County Schools leaders have confirmed a now-former elementary school employee has been accused of allegedly taping a student to their desk and chair, at Lotla Valley Elementary School before the winter break December. 15th, 2022, according to a Friday, January. 13th, statement from the Macon County Sheriff’s Office. No other details about the incident have been released as the case remains active, authorities said.
