The first time Freddie Freeman hit for the cycle for the Braves was June 15th, 2016 against the Reds. He became the first Braves player in history to complete the rare feat a second time even though seven players have done it at least once. Freeman’s single was in the fifth inning, he had doubled in the first and tripled in the fourth. He completed the cycle attempt with a home run in the seventh. The Braves went on to win the game 11 to 9 over the Marlins. This was the Braves fifth consecutive win. They now have a three and a half game lead over the Phillies in the National League East, The Mets are 4 1/2 games back and the Nationals are 12 1/2 back and the Marlins have fallen to 14 games behind the Braves.
