Human remains discovered under a bridge last week have been identified as that of a Maggie Valley man. In an update Wednesday April 26th the Waynesville Police Department said the body of Michael D. Roland who had a Maggie Valley address, was found underneath the bridge leading to Autumn Care of Waynesville. No evident injuries were discovered, and there was no evidence of foul play. The circumstances surrounding the 48 year old’s death remain under investigation, and police said an autopsy is set in an effort to discover more about Mr. Roland’s demise.
