Western Carolina University (WCU) invites prospective students to its November Open House on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event offers a variety of opportunities to explore life in Cullowhee and learn more about WCU.
Attendees can meet faculty and staff during the morning information fair, tour the campus, visit residence halls, interact with current students, and more.
Prospective students who register and attend the open house will receive several benefits, including a complimentary WCU Open House t-shirt, a $50 travel card to help with expenses, a $50 WCU Bookstore coupon redeemable that day, and a student meal voucher for use at participating campus dining locations.
As Western North Carolina continues recovering from Hurricane Helene, WCU is committed to addressing concerns guests may have regarding conditions or travel. The campus is fully operational following the resumption of classes on Oct. 21.
Visitors are encouraged to check current road conditions before traveling, as some routes, especially from Tennessee, may still have extended closures. Additionally, guests should confirm any hotel reservations, as some accommodations are serving as FEMA sites. Alternate lodging options may be available in Cullowhee, Sylva, Cherokee, Franklin, and Waynesville.
WCU’s Admissions Office is available to assist with questions or adjustments to your visit. Contact Admissions at **admiss@wcu.edu** or call **(828) 227-7317** for more information.
