A Man Wanted In Tennessee On Multiple Criminal Charges Was Taken Into Custody Following A Standoff At A Residence In Western North Carolina.
According To The Haywood County Sheriff’s Office, 46-Year-Old Henry Dean Clark Was Sought By Authorities In Tennessee For Several Offenses, Including Sexual Contact With A Minor, Felony Unlawful Possession Of A Weapon, Contributing To The Delinquency Of A Minor, Providing A Handgun To A Juvenile, And Failure To Appear On Multiple Charges.
Deputies Attempted To Arrest Clark On Tuesday Morning At A Residence On Sheepback Mountain. However, Initial Efforts To Secure His Surrender Through Verbal Commands Were Unsuccessful.
Later In The Afternoon, Deputies Deployed Chemical Munitions, Prompting Clark To Surrender. He Was Subsequently Taken Into Custody Without Further Incident.
Clark Is Currently Being Held Without Bond At The Haywood County Detention Center Under A Fugitive Warrant Related To The Tennessee Charges.
